Members

The Irish LEADER Network is funded from the subscriptions of its members and the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.

The organisation represents the network of LEADER Local Action Groups and promotes any other entity that works in favour of rural development.

The Irish LEADER Network is a member of the European LEADER network, ELARD (European LEADER Association for Rural Development) and will host its Presidency in 2005 - 2007. The main aim of the Irish Presidency is to increase membership to include all Networks and individual Local Action Group's and to strengthen the institutional presence of ELARD at a European level.

Faigheann Gréasán LEADER na hÉireann maoiniú ó shíntiúis a mball agus ón Roinn Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta.

Déanann an eagraíocht ionadaíocht ar Ghrúpaí Gníomhaíochta Áitiúla gréasáin LEADER agus aonáin ar bith eile atá i mbun oibre ar son forbartha tuaithe.

Is ball é Gréasán LEADER na hÉireann de ghréasán LEADER na hEorpa, ELARD (Cumann LEADER na hEorpa d'Fhorbairt Tuaithe) agus beidh a Uachtaránacht ar siúl idir 2005 - 2007.

Is í an phríomhaidhm a bhaineann leis an Uachtaránacht Éireannach ná ballraíocht a mhéadú ionas go mbeidh na Gréasáin agus na Grúpaí Gníomhaíochta Áitiúla éagsúla á gcur san áireamh, chomh maith le cur le láithreacht forais ELARD ag leibhéal Eorpach.
